Arts Council England pledge to support arts in criminal justice
Arts Council England has recognised the importance of arts in criminal justice in their latest strategic plan. Published last week, their two-year Corporate Plan sets out their high-level priorities for delivering their 10-year strategy over the period 2018-20, and states:
We will support and celebrate the contribution creative practitioners and cultural organisations make across vital areas of public policy, including health and wellbeing and criminal justice.
The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance is pleased to see arts in criminal justice being prioritised by Arts Council England, and looks forward to working with them to deliver their strategy as a Sector Support Organisation.
