5th – 8th, 12th – 15th February
Commissioned by Voices of Stoke-on-Trent, the show uses performance, storytelling, song, interactive debate, and food, to explore the experiences of those who find themselves sleeping rough, and tackle some of the issues that contribute to homelessness.
Developed in consultation with people with lived experience of complex life circumstances, In Plain Sight makes a special focus on why the help offered by professionals is sometimes rejected, and offers insight into strategies that might enable more meaningful connections between those who sleep rough and those who seek to provide help and support.
The show contains stories that some people may find upsetting, and is not considered suitable for those under 16. Audience members are advised to wear warm clothing and strong footwear as the performance takes place in a range of building spaces that are not all heated.
