Odd Arts is offering an opportunity to train with Geo Britto, one of the first generations of students who trained with Augusto Boal in Brazil. Geo has continued to deliver this work in Centre of the Theatre of the Oppressed (CTO) Rio.
The three-day workshop will cover the following four categories:
- The games and exercises of the Theatre of the Oppressed
- Image theatre
- Aesthetics and dramaturgy of the oppressed
- Forum theatre.
Practical learning will see participants mount scenes that come into direct contact with the practice of the methodology.
Geo and Augusto Boal trained the founders of Odd Arts in 2002, and the theatre company is very proud to host Geo and share this opportunity.
