Koestler Trust on BBC Radio 4

Prison arts charity, the Koestler Trust, is taking part in BBC Radio 4‘s upcoming charity appeal.

This Sunday, tune in to hear the story of John, a former Koestler Awards entrant and mentee who made the journey from a young offenders institution to the Venice Biennale.

Support the Koestler Trust! The support that Koestler has given me has afforded me my liberty, and it has healed me from inside… it’s created a new person, if I’m entirely honest.”
John

The charity hopes the appeal will enable them to support even more young people in custody by using art as a tool to increase engagement with education, personal development and wellbeing; through an extended programme of targeted visits, publicity, and art and education staff networking.

The appeal will be read by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller and will be live from Sunday 24th March – Saturday 30th March.
