New Year Honour for our vice-chair Andy Watson
We are very pleased to share that the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance vice-chair, Andy Watson, has received an MBE for services to the Arts in the Criminal Justice System in the New Year’s Honours list 2018.
Andy is the Artistic Director and CEO of Geese Theatre Company. Having trained in Paris at the Lecoq International School of Mime and Physical Theatre, he joined Geese in 1997, and became Artistic Director in 2003. His work involves overseeing the artistic integrity of the company’s work, devising theatre performances for use in Criminal Justice settings, and developing creative projects with people in prisons, secure hospitals and in the community.
This is a wonderful honour for Geese Theatre Company, during our 30th year, and we are delighted that the sector is receiving such recognition. Everyone at Geese looks forward to delivering more life-changing theatre in 2018
